DIAMOND CLARITY

Ideally, diamonds should be clear and free from any blemishes. However, most diamonds that are mined have naturally occurring blemishes that can detract from the pure beauty of the diamond.

Clarity refers collectively to the size, number, nature, shade and position of the imperfection present or absent in a diamond. There are two categories of imperfections- inclusions (internal) and blemishes (external). Clarity is graded using a very precise and complex method of evaluating the size, location, and visibility of inclusions.
